Cancer Partners of Nebraska (CPN) is seeking a Board-Certified Medical Dosimetrist to join our growing Radiation Oncology department in Kearney, Nebraska.

Kearney offers a thriving university-town atmosphere with exciting sports, entertainment, restaurants and great quality of life. CPN is the largest cancer treatment center in Lincoln and it also provides oncology care for 12 critical access hospitals throughout Nebraska. We offer multiple cancer service lines under one roof, bringing together medical oncology, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, urologic oncology, genetic counseling, palliative care and clinical research. Our growing team includes 9 Medical Oncologists, 3 Radiation Oncologists, 1 Gynecologic Oncology Surgeon, 2 Urologists, 4 Medical Physicists, and 3 Dosimetrists.

CPN is currently building a state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer center in Kearney, which is set to open Fall 2025.

General Summary of Duties

This individual will share responsibilities with other members of the Dosimetry Team to ensure that the overall clinical treatment planning needs of the Radiation Oncology Department are being met. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team player are essential. Integrity and attention to detail are a must. This individual will work with the following software and equipment: Eclipse treatment planning, Aria R&V system, MIM image management and contouring software, EZFluence, Clear Check, Varian Edge (Lincoln) and TrueBeam accelerators (Kearney and Lincoln), and GE CT Simulation with respiratory motion management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs external beam treatment planning and dose calculation for safe effective radiation treatment delivery under the direction of radiation oncologists and medical physicists.

Demonstrates accurate and timely patient treatment planning.

Education and Training:

Graduate of an accredited Medical Dosimetry program.

Certified as a Medical Dosimetrist by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) or board eligible.

Experience:

Minimum of two years of experience working in a radiation therapy department as a medical dosimetrist is preferred.

Eclipse treatment planning experience is preferred.
