Senior Full Stack Engineer

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will use a range of different technologies and languages to develop applications. This role will work primarily with other members of their engineering team to achieve our product vision through shaping, prototyping, developing, and releasing new features.

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will work with cross functional teams and other engineers on architecture, integration, and maintenance of the applications in order to keep up with the world's fast-paced industry. They will act as a mentor and onboarding buddy, serving as a cornerstone and exemplar of Engineering core values, cultural norms, and best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Be a fundamental part of our software delivery cycle
  • Work with Product and Design to craft efficient, performant, and delightful user experiences
  • Contribute to our full stack web application, crafted with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Ruby on Rails, and React
  • Act as a mentor for less-experienced peers through both your technical knowledge and leadership skills
  • Use continuous delivery practices to improve the speed of our software delivery
  • Work on a small, product-focused team of 3-4 engineers that will build innovative customer experiences
  • Write high quality and well tested code to meet our customer's needs
  • Take ownership and work collaboratively to solve problems


Required Experience, Education, & Skills:
  • 5+ years of software development experience, preferably developing SaaS software
  • 4+ years of experience with React and Ruby on Rails or related technologies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • First Principles thinker who is able to work with others to come up with pragmatic solutions
  • Strong product instincts and ability to understand customers
  • Ability to implement sustainable and flexible patterns that will help maintain an ever-evolving and growing product
  • Strong dedication to code quality, automation and operational excellence
  • Strong communication skills - Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers is no problem for you
