About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager Director to oversee the User Experiences that lead to discovering, interacting and operating the Crunchyroll services in our Partners' devices, with the end goal of acquiring Crunchyroll subscribers. We are looking for someone who has experience that sits at the intersection of Product Management, Partnerships, Business Development and Engineering, with a strong understanding of the entertainment industry and landscape. You will know how to influence externally and internally, will have strong negotiation skills anchored in strategy principles and data.

In this role, you will maximize partnerships channels, attract and retain subscribers, and strengthen Crunchyroll's competitive edge as the Home of Anime. Success will be measured in your ability to increase the value generated through partnerships, anchored in acquisition and retention metrics and scalability, while preserving core product identity and execution resources.
  • Product Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive partnership product strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives and market trends.
  • Partnership Development: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships with external organizations that complement our product offerings and enhance our market position, and enable product innovation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product management, engineering, sales, marketing, and legal, to drive successful partnership integrations and go-to-market strategies.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through the successful monetization of partnership products, including pricing strategy development, sales enablement, and performance tracking.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including external partners and internal executives, to drive alignment and support for partnership product initiatives.
  • Market Leader: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and user preferences to make informed decisions and keep the product competitive.
  • Data-driven: Evangelize data-driven decision-making, and partner with data analytics teams to build standardized product performance metrics and dashboards.

In the role of Product Manager Director, you will report to the VP of Partner Product.

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...
  • You have a Bachelor's degree, experience with hands-on software development for embedded devices and 5+ years in product management. Product management experience in streaming subscription services is a plus.
  • You have experience working with multi-platform products on mobile, web, operator Set-Top-Boxes and OTT with a global reach and adoption.
  • You have a track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results.
  • You have experience in one or more areas of client distribution deals, such as app distribution, payment integration, bundles, monetization optimization.
  • You bring a broad technical understanding of monetization flows, billing solutions, optimization tactics, both with embedded client implementation and B2B connections.
  • You demonstrate product instincts and the ability to prioritize and balance technical, user and business needs.
  • You have experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • You bring an analytical mindset and proven experience using data to inform decisions. Having led A/B testing or quasi A/B testing is a plus.
  • You have experience with 0 to 1 initiatives and are adept at bringing structure to ambiguous environments.
About the Team

The Product Partnerships team at Crunchyroll is a newly formed group who will build the foundations and lead our nascent Partner Product strategy. We want to be the champions of increasing the value generated through partnerships, while preserving core product identity and execution resources. We manage Partner products through the Articulation of Value, Strategic principles and Consistent decision & operation frameworks. We work in collaboration with our Core Product team, the Partnerships Engineering Organization and Business Development teams, in order to propel Crunchyroll to the next stage of reach and fan joy.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll's Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
