NOTE to TCDE employees:Employees that apply for a promotional opportunity will typically be placed on step one of the new higher classification. If step one is lower than their current salary, they will be placed at a step that provides for at least a 5% increase. If they have previous experience in a same higher classification they will be placed commensurate with that verified experience (lower classification experience does not apply to higher classifications).
