Position Overview:The Part-Time Development Director will play a crucial role in advancing the mission of the Western Boone Education Foundation by spearheading fundraising efforts, cultivating donor relationships, and enhancing the foundation's brand through innovative marketing strategies. This role requires a dynamic individual with expertise in social media, creative marketing, and development.Key Responsibilities:Fundraising and Development:

Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve financial goals.Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners.Organize and manage fundraising events and campaigns.

Brand Building and Marketing:

Design and execute creative marketing campaigns to enhance the foundation's brand presence.Develop engaging marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, and digital content.Utilize social media platforms to drive awareness, engagement, and support for the foundation's mission.

Communications and Outreach:

Create and manage content for the foundation's website, social media channels, and other communication platforms.Write compelling grant proposals, donor reports, and other promotional materials.Represent the foundation at community events and networking opportunities.

Strategy and Planning:

Collaborate with the Board of Directors and senior staff to set fundraising goals and strategies.Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing and fundraising efforts, making recommendations for improvement.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, contributions, and campaign outcomes.Oversee the management of donor databases and ensure timely acknowledgment of contributions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in development and fundraising, preferably within an educational or nonprofit setting.An understanding of the demographic and socioeconomic composition of the Western Boone community and surrounding area.Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and content management systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.Passion for education and commitment to the foundation's mission.Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Hours:

10-12 hours per week, flexible scheduling

Compensation:

$15,000
