*Local candidates only!Senior Medical TechnologistDurham, NCResponsibilitiesPerforms clinical laboratory tests to support patient specimen.Utilizes a variety of molecular techniques, instrumentation, and disciplines related to NGS and other molecular proceduresPerforms a variety of laboratory techniques and utilizes analytic instrumentation, such as next genetic sequencing, real time PCR, extraction, and fragment analysisAdheres to Clinical Laboratory regulations including CAP, CLIA, state and other regulatory agenciesPractices the proficient and safe use of all equipment necessary for the completion of all duties and responsibilities by following all maintenance, operation, safety and quality controls policies and proceduresRequirements :2-4 years of experience working in a CLIA-certified focusing on molecular pathology lab, using Next Generation Sequencing and other molecular techniques.Experience as a medical lab scientist / medical technologist.
