"Responsibilities:Conducts Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities in reviewing project reports, design drawings, and specifications.Conducts Design Conceptual Reviews for complex projects.Provides technical guidance and recommendations to client in support of Project Managers and Project Principals.Contributes to pursuit efforts including proposals and statements of qualifications.Maintains key client relationships with personnel at a decision-making level and takes on the role of client manager.Reviews, recommends, and facilitates the growth of the internal technical capabilities for multiple different disciplines centered around the civil engineering industry.Provides consultation and solutions to leadership in companys technical capabilities.Maintains relationships with industry experts and manufacturers to stay up on current industry technologies, trends, and specification requirements.Maintains familiarity with current AWWA, ASCE, and ASTM design standards, manuals, details, and specifications.Understands the business goals and project financial performance.May assume responsibility as Principal-in-Charge of projects or Client Manager.Mentor staff to execute final, detailed design and project closeout.Exceptional leadership, inspiring multidisciplinary teams.Maintains memberships in technical committees or professional practice organizations.Qualifications:
Bachelors or masters degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical preferred) from an accredited college or university.Professional Engineering license required (PE).15+ years of experience primarily with large diameter water and wastewater pipelines and facilities.Working knowledge of Bluebeam preferred.Time management and organization skills with the ability to be involved with multiple different design teams and concurrent projects at various design projects required.Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.
