The pay range for this position is between $144,440 - $160,490 annually.

Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services has been a national leader in whole-person mental health, crisis care, and substance use services since 1942 and is home to the nation's first Suicide Prevention Center. Summary

The Director of Business Development is responsible for leading and managing the agency's business development activities. This role involves identifying new market opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, developing business plans that align with the strategic plan, and driving overall business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, marketing, and business strategy with a proven record of accomplishment in successful business development initiatives.

Primary Duties

Business Plan Development & ImplementationWorks closely with COO, CFO, and CEO in identifying areas for potential business growth and makes recommendations to the executive team.Supports the analysis, planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of key projects to achieve organizational goals.Accomplishes measurable business process improvements.Provides expertise in developing and implementing business plans, programs, and initiatives, and driving teams to achieve desired results.Translates concepts into practice, identifies business process improvement opportunities, & quantifies results and trends presenting recommendations to leadership.

Market Research & AnalysisAnalyzes market trends to anticipate and vet threats/opportunities in partnership with division leadership.

Partnership & Relationship ManagementDevelops and manages relationships with local providers & payors to assist with the agency's partner selection process for strategic opportunities.Builds regional partnership structures for private pay, commercial insurance, and value-based care contracts.Meets with hospital executives, executives at local health plans, Medical Groups, and other risk-taking entities to conduct presentations that differentiate Didi Hirsch as a mental health partner of choice and explore value-based care contracts.

Financial ManagementLeads and supports the development of revenue generating growth plans and initiatives that result in strong and sustainable ROI; determines business models and drives their development in qualified markets while working closely with the executive team.

CollaborationCollaborates with departments, leading initiatives that drive long-term agency growth.Collaborates with cross-functional virtual teams, such as Clinical Operations, Health & Innovation, Finance, Development and Public Policy.

Performs all duties in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position RequirementsMinimum five years of business development experience preferably in a healthcare setting.Demonstrated experience in Medicaid or private payors insurance & healthcare finance.Demonstrated experience in complex contract review.Expertise in operations, with mental health/health care industry preferred.Preferred direct start-up experience building a business, preferably in mental health or other healthcare.The ability to build relationships quickly & lead cross functional teams.Established and maintained relationships with community and referral resources.Experienced with Clinic Operations, Revenue Generation, P&L management, Payor/Contract Negotiations.Deep understanding of Fundraising, Clinic Culture, Patient Experience, Strategic Planning, Compliance.Knowledge of legal and ethical rules related to appropriate and compliant business development.Bachelor's degree necessary, Masters preferred.
