SafeLease helps self storage operators protect and expand their businesses. Our core product has achieved product market fit and is growing rapidly. With our existing customers, technology and stellar reputation as a jumping off point, we see a number of adjacent opportunities where we can help operators run their businesses even better with less risk. As our Product Management Director, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming SafeLease into a full multi-product organization. You will lead our existing product while launching and maturing a series of new offerings. This is a hybrid role in our downtown Austin, Texas office.
What You’ll Do
Direct the core SafeLease products of Tenant Protection and Tenant Insurance to continue expanding the engine enabling SafeLease’s growthLaunch a series of new solutions that leverage our existing capabilities and stellar customer reputationConduct both user and market research to identify customer needs, market gaps, and emerging trendsTranslate market insights into actionable product concepts and ideasCoordinate within the growing Product Management team to ensure each product has what it needs to be successfulCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed product requirements and operational procedures, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needsDrive the execution of product development initiatives, collaborating with the engineering team in the prototyping, development, and launch processesAct as the face of the product externally, representing SafeLease in customer meetings, industry events, and other forums.About You
Our engineering and technical capabilities are strong. We need a stellar outbound focused individual that’s an expert in listening to customer pains and exploring and defining innovative solutions5+ years experience in Product ManagementTrack record of success growing and maturing products in a fast paced environmentProven analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategiesDeep understanding of and appreciation for great customer experiencesWillingness and eagerness to take a hands-on approach to finding elegant solutions to complex product challengesUnderstanding of market and industry trendsSelf-starter who has proven their ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in rapidly changing environmentsStrong accountability, work ethic, and sense of urgencyExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
