DescriptionECC is seeking a

Senior Environmental Engineer . This office and field position is primarily responsible for project engineering and maintenance; and will plan, select, coordinate and implement scientific and engineering services to

fully address the scope of work on environmental remediation and hazardous waste management projects

in accordance with Company standards, regulatory criteria, and contractual obligations.

The position requires an Engineering degree . Travel is required approximately 10-20% of the time to CONUS project locations.

While the preference is to fill this position at an established ECC office location, ultimately, the position location is flexible. In the position you will:

Consult and collaborate work with Project Manager, Site Superintendent, as well as Health and Safety, Quality Control, Project Controls, Estimating, and Contracts representatives to properly plan, coordinate and ensure progress of deliverables per the approved budget and scheduleEvaluate, select, design and apply appropriate environmental technologies and cost-effective solutions to remediate or remove contaminants and meet project objectivesPlan, prepare, review, and issue project and field submittals within approved budget including but not limited to pre-construction plans, design documents, testing plans, analytical reports, shop drawings, field submittals, operation/ maintenance reports, closure reports and as-built recordsApply industry standards of practice for selected technology, adhering to regulatory codes and standards, national/ local standards, and company SOPs.Identify, address and communicate technical, operational and business risks relevant to the selected project approach and technology to the Project Manager and Project EngineerAuthor RFQs and assist in procurement and selection of technical and specialty subcontractors, consultants and service providers to accomplish scope of workReport to the field to perform hands-on and/or inspect fieldwork to ensure compliance with approved designs and plansReview work of personnel, subcontractors and consultants to ensure compliance with approved plans and acceptable tolerances.Ensure that appropriate and required testing is completed by qualified personnel using properly calibrated equipment Evaluate, review, monitor and document results and help make necessary decisions/ adjustments to proceduresComplete related documentation (field reports, completion reports or related regulatory documents, logs, meeting minutes, online submittal sites, etc.) in a timely, detailed and accurate manner Investigate and recommend solutions in response to field changes, RFIs, and resolve fieldwork or construction issues related to quality, technology, installed equipment, and operation.Support client, regulatory, and/or public meetings, work with Public Affairs Officers (PAOs), and/or prepare associated presentations, and answer questions.Support risk-/performance-based programs/projects for DoD, with an emphasis on Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) characterization and remediationIn addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.Requirements

The ability to communicate in written or verbal formats with diplomacy and tactAn aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoningStrong organizational skills, and skilled at leading dispersed teams to accomplish tasks and activities adhering to established budget and scheduleSkilled in achieving project objectives by properly reviewing/ inspecting work for adherence to approved technical plans, drawings and specificationsDemonstrated knowledge applying engineering and industry standards of practice and regulatory codes and standards to environmental and field techniquesProven knowledge in reading and comprehending client requirements, technical plans, specifications, and related technical documentationSuccessful track record in effectively engaging with and/or directing subcontractorsAbility to mentor and guide team members and share lessons learnedDedicated to remaining abreast of technology developments and industry trendsCompetent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and WindowsTen years of progressively responsible experience performing in-situ or ex-situ environmental systems design, field engineering support, or quality control on environmental remediation or hazardous waste management projectsEngineer certification - PEHAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification with 8 Hour RefresherKnowledge of CERCLA and RCRA regulatory requirementsUS Government contracting experienceStrong technical writing skillsActive membership in professional organizationsTen plus years of experience in environmental engineering preferred.Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or closely related Engineering degree.Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or Business Professional preferredEngineering, quality, or environmental credential (e.g., CQA, EPI)Active membership in professional organizationsUSACE Contractor Quality Management for Contractors certificationECC targeted salary range is $110,000 to $125,000 annually.

Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
