Position Description

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Logistics Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Technical Leader to join Serco’s Amphibious Ship Section. The successful candidate will assume a critical role in providing recommendations on logistics processes and documentation to address the immediate LCAC and shore base concerns and systemic supply, engineering, and infrastructure support issues. They will identify weaknesses and propose improvements in the supply infrastructure by supporting Battle Group and Amphibious Readiness Group (ARG) initiatives and identifying logistics impacts. They provide recommendations for approval of Allowance Change Requests (ACR). If you are interested in supporting our military and working with our sailors and a passionate Serco team - then submit your application now for immediate consideration.In this role:The candidate in this position ideally brings a unique combination of landing craft operational experience and logistics subject matter expertise, as well as technical understanding of LCAC maintenance and repairs.As the Senior Logistics LCAC Technical Leader, you’ll oversee Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) tasks, ensuring compliance with contractual controls and processes.Reporting to the Senior Logistics LCAC Team Leader, you’ll collaborate closely with the Government ILS Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) and their team members to provide support integral to acquisition programs in preliminary and contract design support, detail design and contract support, pre-delivery availability and post-delivery support, operations and sustainment support, or fleet modernization program life cycle support areas.Your responsibilities include:Developing and managing logistical documentationHelping resolve technical issuesStudying drawings and specifications to identify logistics items that meet requirementsConduct Configuration Management (CM) by maintaining the integrity of work products using configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting, and configuration auditsIdentifying risks and proposing solutions.You will also cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP) Gulf Coast, and other stakeholders by offering support and contributing to satisfying current and future Navy and Marine Corps needs.This role offers the chance to drive impactful change and achieve our clients’ mission objectives with the highest level of capability and assurance, and at the lowest possible cost.In compliance with local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $96,936.08 to $157,519.86; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:A high school diploma or GED plus 15+ years of relevant ILS experience, in an acquisition environment, with U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard ship construction, ship repair, or ship maintenance is required.Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work will occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials.Ability to travel 10% to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility or onboard ship while underway.Must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret clearance post-employment.United States (U.S.) citizenship.Additional desired experience and skills:Landing craft operational experience is preferred.Relevant U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard experience in ship and/or landing craft acquisition experience is desired.Configuration control experience is desired.Experience working within DoD/Navy ACAT I Programs is desired.Company Overview
