Senior Software Engineer, In-Person – San Francisco | Job Description
This role requires in-person work in San Francisco. Applicants must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to San Francisco/Bay area within 8 weeks of hire. We provide a stipend for relocation.Who are We?At Assort Health, we have developed the first generative AI call center built for healthcare. Our long term goal is to make exceptional healthcare accessible anytime, anywhere, for everyone.Unfortunately, the high costs of scaling and maintaining call center operations and administrative staffing within healthcare are often passed down to the patient. We solve this problem leveraging the latest advances in machine learning to build an AI-powered contact center platform for healthcare.Assort is led by Jeff (former Head of Product Engineering at health tech company valued at 6B Athelas/Commure, first non-founder engineer at Cameo, engineer at Facebook, Duke grad) and Jon (Founder of Shimmer YC S21, 7 publications in healthcare AI, former UCSF med student, Stanford grad in top 3%).We have PMF, paying customers, and a huge pipeline of inbound customers that we plan to onboard this year. We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic and driven software engineer to join our team at an exciting stage of our startup's journey. If you're eager to contribute to building and scaling innovative products, this role is your ticket to making a significant impact. You'll gain hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment, working with and contributing to cutting-edge generative AI and voice/transcription models + technologies.As an early senior engineer, you will be a cornerstone to our company's growth and success. If you are a self-starter who is ready to wear many hats and build and scale products from zero-one, then this is the perfect role for you. You'll have many responsibilities and will be involved in key decisions alongside the founders.Work closely with our world class engineering team to develop features and products from the ground up.Enjoy a high degree of autonomy, tasked with solving complex problems in innovative ways.Participate actively in design and development discussions, contributing fresh ideas and perspectives.Engage with healthcare professionals to tailor software solutions that meet real-world needs.Play a role in an agile team, prioritizing rapid development and deployment to meet our ambitious goals.Develop scalable software solutions that comply with HIPAA and other security standards.What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience as a software engineer (flexible based on performance in tech interview).Expertise in audio and voice tech architecture.Eagerness to learn and grow, with a keen interest in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technology.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.Proficiency with cloud computing platforms and deployment, such as Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.Proficiency of database management systems, such as Postgres.Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for technology.Optional: Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems.What Benefits Do We Offer?
