Support the General Manager’s efforts to adequately staff the restaurant with quality people who are passionate about achieving standards, exceeding expectations, and delighting customers by:Recruiting, hiring, and retaining all restaurant employees in compliance with the employee position reportEnsuring the entire team is certified according to the current training process at all timesFostering an environment of continuous learningCreating a service-oriented culturePromoting an environment of fun and teamworkEvaluating performance and recommending salary increasesRecommending, approving, and administering disciplinary action, suspension, and/or terminationDeveloping and growing team membersDeliver the Brand to everyone the Del Taco Way by:Executing Del Taco Standards and using our processes and systems 100% of the timeMaintaining the facility and customer areasMaintaining all equipment to operational and safety standardsDelivering only quality products to Del Taco standards every timeAdhering to cleaning schedules and standardsEnsuring employees are in proper uniformEnsuring a consistent service experienceEnsuring POP and signage is present and in the approved locationAchieve or exceed Sales plan and build customer counts and loyalty by:Assisting the General Manager in identifying and communicating sales goals (daily, weekly, year over year)Ensuring the right people are in the right places according to projected / actual salesIncreasing customer count and check average, and maximizing capacity and customer valueSupporting the General Manager in identifying and executing Local Store Marketing opportunities to attract new customersStaying aware of local events; Understanding the store’s current trade area and competitionExecuting speed (speed with a smile) and service standardsFlawlessly executing marketing promotions and campaignsAchieve or exceed profitability plan:Maintaining staffing levels to actual salesComplying with labor lawsAccurately ordering and managing inventory to reduce waste and prevent theftEnsuring cash handling procedures and standards are in place and followedPerforming cash audits and addressing identified issuesExecuting safety and health standardsMinimizing R&M / Supplies and Services costs by managing service vendors efficientlyAchieving and communicating controllable cost targetsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent1 – 3 years experience in QSR industry / full service concept or 1 – 3 years experience within Del Taco managementKnows all Del Taco food safety standards and is ServSafe CertifiedExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; great telephone mannerExcellent analytical, problem solving, and math skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision, under pressureProven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, and promote learning, development and career growthMust possess a valid driver’s license, insurance, and use personal vehicle to make bank deposits and travel to other restaurants/business locations as requiredMay perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate.
