A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney in Santa Ana with 3-5 years of experience to join their team.Job Overview:The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling various aspects of litigation cases, including written discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings and motions, attending mediations and court appearances, and providing assistance at trial. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong academic background, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.Duties:Manage all phases of litigation cases, from initial filings through trial and appealConduct written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissionPrepare witnesses for deposition and assist in conducting depositionsDraft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documentsRepresent clients at mediations, hearings, and other court appearancesAssist in trial preparation and provide support during trial proceedingsConduct legal research on relevant issues and provide analysis and recommendations to senior attorneysRequirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the California State Bar3-5 years of litigation experience in a law firm settingProficiency in legal research tools and databasesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamDemonstrated commitment to professionalism and ethical conductSkills:Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondenceAbility to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear and concise recommendationsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in work productEffective problem-solving and critical thinking skillsCapability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneouslyAdaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
