The Trial Attorney will primarily focus on litigating unlawful detainer actions in California state courts (Orange County, Riverside, and San Bernardino) for property owners and managers. The role involves providing legal counsel, depositing, and preparing all pre-trial motions and documents. The ideal candidate should possess strong oral advocacy and legal writing skills and a proactive approach to client communication and business development.Duties:
Litigate unlawful detainer actions in California state courts (Orange County, Riverside, and San Bernardino) on behalf of property owners and managers.Defend and conduct depositions.Provide legal advice through phone consultations, assessing the facts and issues of each scenario, and counseling clients accordinglyRespond to client questions and concerns to increase and retain businessWork with legal staff to ensure all pre-trial motions, pleadings, and discovery documents are prepared and completedRequirements:
2+ years of trial experience, preferably with jury trial experienceAbility to work with people of all educational, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds with differing communication abilitiesKnowledge of unlawful detainer lawContact and relationships within the rental housing industryFederal Court (CA Central) admission and knowledge of Bankruptcy lawEducation & Certifications:
