is all about.We are seeking an energetic self-starter for a unique opportunity to assume the role of Counsel on the Investment Services Legal team supporting each of our North American Corporate Trust business and our global Treasury Services business (with primary focus on Payments and Liquidity Services). This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA – working on a hybrid schedule.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Negotiate and draft transactional agreements for BNY Mellon’s US Corporate Trust business– including a broad range of public not-for-profit related agreements, escrow, insurance trust, structured finance and custody agreementsDocument and negotiate global banking agreement terms with Treasury Services clients, working closely with the contract management team supporting Payments and Liquidity ServicesManage escalations from various business stakeholders internally and outside counsel on transactional and documentation issuesAdvise on all aspects of (i) corporate trust and (ii) payments and liquidity services transactions, products, programs, platforms, processes and related mattersAssist on special, regional and global projects as required for the Corporate Trust and Treasury Services (Payments and Liquidity Services) businessesAt times interact with senior management and relevant business stakeholdersPartner with control functions serving in an advisory or oversight capacity, such as Risk, Audit and ComplianceManage outside counsel and advise on business, regulatory and legal developmentsCollaborate with the Treasury Services Trade Finance Legal Team, as neededNegotiate servicing outsourcing contractsTo be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and a member of the Pennsylvania or New York Bar.1-3 years’ experience across a broad range of transactions in finance, debt capital markets and banking (with a preference for corporate trust and/or cash management transactions representing major financial institutions)Ability to handle a diverse and demanding workloadExcellent negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, drafting and communications skillsAbility to function independently, but also to function as part of effective teamsPublic Not-For-Profit experience, cross-border transactional experience and experience with digital assets/payment platforms a plusSome familiarity with (i) Regulations CC, E, and J, (ii) UCC 3, 4 and 4A and NACHA Rules a plusOur Benefits:BNY Mellon offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay-for-performance philosophy.
