You will be at the forefront of assessing the most impactful data needs throughout the business and leading the charge in identifying automated solutions that help bring data to life. You have experience building and maintaining various data engineering frameworks. Beyond your strong technical skills, you are a collaborator who is a passionate advocate for empowering and enlightening others with the power of data to help turn information into knowledge and actionable insights.What You Will NeedA BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience with professional experience in data platform team or in a similar roleExecute FOX Data platform engineering roadmap aligning with product, engineering, platform, data science teamsManage and elevate team members with the ability to get the best out of them and build strong engagement and grow their careersBuild partnerships with cross-functional teams to have better collaboration with engineering, product, data science and scrum masters.Identify the data needed for FOX business problem and implement data observability, ensure quality, ETL completeness & availability of data, with proactive altering solutionsBuild the data products, features, tools, and frameworks that enable and empower data engineering, analytics teams across FOX with our dataExpert knowledge of AWS Analytical Tech stack and services like Glue, Athena, Lake formationExcellent knowledge and expertise with SQL, T-SQL, PostgreSQL and Relational & Multi-dimensional DatabasesStrong understanding of AWS security services including KMS, parameter Stores and secret ManagersStrong experience with Realtime Frameworks, collection, and processing Realtime data using Kinesis Data Streams, KDA and FirehosesStrong understanding of Kinesis/Glue frameworks and Spark Streaming for building Realtime analyticsExtensive experience on Python, or similar scripting language to build engineering frameworksExperience in CICD framework, Preferably GitHub and GitHub Actions for version controlling or OrchestratingExpert knowledge on infrastructure as code services including Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK.Expert knowledge on Blue/Green Deployment for Lambda and Microservices.Expert Knowledge on Elastic Containers and Elastic Container ServicesStrong experience with distributed data architectures and big data processing technologies (Spark, EMR, Hadoop, Hive) Discerning appreciation of best practices in designing data lakes/lake houses, mentoring junior members, peer review and recommendationProven ability to deliver high quality, production ready codeExpert understanding of the agile software development life cycleAbove all else you will be leading the development process of multiple Squads, driving architectural decisions, and incorporating business and technology strategy. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
