Persevere in Truth.Our school is based on a true relationship with Christ immersed in a holistic learning environment, beautifully and purposefully designed spaces, nature-inspired indoor/outdoor classrooms, and intimate class sizes.Qualifications:The Director must be a Christian who has a deep faith in Jesus Christ and believes they can lead, manage, and implement a faith-based and uniquely designed curriculum to build up and lead the next generation of children and teachers in our school.Must meet all current California State requirements for a Preschool Director.Must have at least 7 years of experience in a licensed childcare center.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the owner/development team to implement the unique curriculum.Demonstrate the ability to work independently and efficiently.Oversee the daily operations of the facility, including support and care for teachers, children, and families.Manage all day-to-day aspects of the preschool.Participate collaboratively and professionally with staff to promote the general well-being of the school and the collective/individual interests of its staff and children.Negotiate conflict resolution with children, parents, and staff.Facilitate the enrollment process, including tours.Perform administrative duties, including supply management, budget management, and maintenance of student contracts and files.Compensation:Starting $65,000 a year salary.Key Skills:Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.Effective communication and collaboration with their team.Proactive problem-solving to ensure efficient processes.Comfortable in using technology and applications relevant to preschool management.Required Spiritual Qualities:Believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God—our standard for faith and practice.Must have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior and be in full agreement with the School’s Statement of Faith, Human Sexuality Policy, Core values, and cultural commitments.Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others (Luke 6:40). - Meets the Child Care Center Director Title 22 qualifications.5+ Years of Experience in an administrative/leadership role preferably at a child care/preschool.Demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy, having basic proficiency in word processing, creating and using spreadsheets, creating and using PowerPoint, emailing, and accessing the Internet.Academic Leadership:Assist staff in identifying the learning needs of individual children, including identifying the child’s gifting and talents.Plan and deliver learning instructions that are based on the needs of the students.Provide learning environments that are stimulating where the children can develop their potential and also experience growth.Collaborate with teachers to plan instructional activities and lessons, which promote developmentally appropriate student learning.Serve as a classroom aide or lead teacher as needed.Perform a variety of miscellaneous duties, such as answering the telephone, running errands, picking up supplies, conducting activities, and helping set-up for events.Develop and maintain an annual budget.Administrative duties, including supply management, budget management, and maintenance of student contracts and files.Manage books.Prepare financial statements on a monthly basis and present them to the Head of School and bookkeeper.Help market and advertise the preschool.Professional Leadership:It is expected that the Preschool Director will …Regularly seek to grow as a professional and implement new and innovative ideas.Recruit, select, and hire staff to run the preschool program in compliance with state regulations.Supervise and formally evaluate all preschool staff.Partner to recruit and effectively onboard staff ensuring teacher ratios are always met.A strong track record of hiring, retaining, training, mentoring, and growing teachers.Excellent parent communication skills and ability to understand parent needs and perspectives.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed, not an exhaustive list of all essential functions and responsibilities.
