We are a group practice made up of licensed clinicians (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCA, LMSW, MFTA, APRN, PMHNP) who provide an array of services including individual, family, and group counseling and individual medication management.We are committed to providing a trusting, engaging, and collaborative environment with our clients. We believe they are the experts on themselves, and we are the guide to help them manage ways to overcome what is currently getting in the way of living the life they deserve.Position DescriptionThe Director of Medication Management will lead and manage the team of Psychiatric focused Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) to ensure the highest quality of medication management services. This role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a collaborative environment focused on holistic wellness.ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of APRNs/PMHNPs and APRN coordinators, promoting professional development and excellence in clinical practice.Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient medication management services.Conduct regular team meetings to discuss case reviews, updates, and professional development.

Clinical Oversight:

Oversee the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans related to medication management.Ensure that all treatment plans align with Stokes Counseling’s holistic wellness philosophy.Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment protocols as necessary to improve efficacy and safety.Continue to see patients as you feel appropriate based on your other responsibilities.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding medication management.Implement and oversee quality assurance programs to monitor the effectiveness of medication management services.Conduct regular audits and reviews of patient records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments to integrate medication management with counseling and other therapeutic services.Foster relationships with external healthcare providers and organizations to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.

Education and Training:

Provide ongoing education and training to the APRN team on best practices in medication management.Stay updated with the latest research, trends, and developments in psychiatric medication management and incorporate them into practice.

Administrative Duties:

Prepare and manage budgets related to medication management services.Oversee scheduling and resource allocation for the medication management team.Participate in strategic planning and development for the organization.

QualificationsMaster’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) with a focus on psychiatric/mental health.Current licensure as an APRN with prescriptive authority in the state of CT.Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatric medication management.Previous leadership or management experience preferred.Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and their management.Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Commitment to holistic wellness and integrated care.
