Rehabilitative Services - Outpatient PediatricsFull Time79416BRJob SummaryThe Staff Physical Therapist (Physical Therapist 2) works with pediatric patients across the age continuum - infants, children, adolescents - and from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds providing both direct and indirect patient care services. Under general direction and upon receipt of written referrals, the Staff Physical Therapist plans and administers a full range of physical therapy services for patients with a variety of physical and cognitive impairments and functional limitations. Services include patient evaluations using physical therapy tests and measurements, establishment of therapeutic intervention goals and development of therapeutic intervention programs, and implementation of therapeutic intervention plans utilizing physical therapy modalities and procedures.The Staff Physical Therapist maintains all applicable patient records related to the delivery of patient care services. While performing job duties, the Staff Physical Therapist may also supervise support personnel including Rehabilitation Aides as well as Physical Therapy students. The Staff Physical Therapist actively participates in departmental and organizational programs, including quality and performance improvement activities, clinical education programs, and inservices and staff development activities.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Required QualificationsIf graduated 15 or more years ago, a bachelor's degreeMinimum one year related patient care experience.Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.Ability to recognize signs of distress.Basic computer skills including work within Epic electronic medical record.Possession of good interpersonal, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills.This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.Preferred QualificationsMinimum one year of licensed experience as a Physical Therapist working with pediatric populations.Prior physical therapy experience in an academic medical center environment.Prior experience working on an interdisciplinary health provider team.Board-certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist.License/CertificationPossession of or proven eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Physical Therapy Board of California.Possession of or proven eligibility for CPR certification.About UCSFAt UCSF Health, our mission of innovative patient care, advanced technology and pioneering research is redefining what's possible for the patients we serve - a promise we share with the professionals who make up our team.
