The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, with particular emphasis on development or homebuilding.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all legal aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasingDraft, review, and negotiate complex real estate contracts and agreementsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulationsManage litigation and dispute resolution related to real estate mattersProvide legal counsel on zoning, land use, and environmental issuesCollaborate with external counsel when necessaryAdvise executive leadership on legal risks and strategies in real estate operationsQualifications:J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the Texas State Bar10+ years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on development or homebuildingStrong knowledge of real estate finance, construction law, and land use regulationsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesExperience in a corporate legal department preferred
