Head of Monetization Engineering,

you will create a best-in-class monetization platform that scales with Checkr for the next 10+ years. In this role, you will drive Checkr’s ambitious monetization strategy and product roadmap, including the roadmap for invoicing, payment, and other revenue-related areas. You will align stakeholders, internal business partners and leadership around defining the plan, and partner with cross-functional teams to execute it. Your expert technical guidance and mentorship will help your team turn empathy into action for our customers. Since monetization is at the heart of Checkr’s business, your strategic decisions will have a great impact on revenue thus helping Checkr grow to the next level!What you’ll doPartner with leaders across cross-functional areas to make monetization Checkr’s growth driverEnsure that the engineering teams you lead are building a highly scalable and available monetization platform and associated integrated experiences that can fulfill the need of monetizing any product, feature, or platformProvide technical leadership and guidance and would help facilitate the team to build out new capabilities and systems in a manner such that they drive efficiency of execution while solving for scale, resilience, reliability at the same timeEnsure teams have appropriate technical direction, leadership, and balance between short-term impact and long-term architectural visionCoach and grow your team and help them do the best work of their careersPartner with other leaders to provide thought leadership and help accomplish initiatives outside the immediate scope of responsibility through influence or guidancePartner with the recruiting team to attract and retain high-quality and diverse talentEstablish great rapport with other development teams, Product Managers, Finance, RevOps, and Customer Success to maintain high levels of visibility, efficiency, and collaborationEnsure that the team remains execution focused and effective in a fast-paced environmentWhat you bring10+ years of experience in leading or managing teams of engineers and engineering managers5+ years of experience in monetization platform domainExperience in leading key consumer feature delivery and experience launching or maintaining high-impact product software at scaleExperience working closely with various levels of business stakeholders, along with CStaff/EStaff, and understand value alignmentAbility to process complex workflows and ensure alignment with key stakeholdersExcellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills with the ability to define and communicate the "big picture" to key stakeholdersExperience with working on a geographically dispersed team and are able to bridge the gap between time zones without affecting key timelines and deliveryYou always strive for operational excellence: the quality of the software owned by your team and operational performance metrics improve under your leadershipWhat you’ll getA fast-paced and collaborative environmentLearning and development allowanceCompetitive compensation and opportunity for advancement100% medical, dental, and vision coverageUp to $25K reimbursement for fertility, adoption, and parental planning servicesFlexible PTO policyMonthly wellness stipend, home office stipendAt Checkr, we believe a hybrid work environment strengthens collaboration, drives innovation, and encourages connection.
