UC San Diego Health, a world class Academic Medical Center, is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, visionary leader to oversee our Diagnostic Department throughout the UC San Diego Health organization. This person will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding Department of Radiology, School of Medicine faculty who are thought leaders in their fellowship trained areas of sub-specialties. At UC San Diego our Diagnostic services provide the most advanced and scientific Diagnostic image exams and image quality on the most advanced equipment. This includes but is not limited to Cardiology, Oncology, Neurosciences and MSK exams and/or intraoperative procedures.If you are a leader that places great importance on patient experience, as well as emphasizing the importance of staff experience/engagement through a variety of exciting and creative efficient ways, you'll fit in with our existing team of Imaging Leadership. Come join the UC San Diego Health Imaging Services team in sunny San Diego where we work and play year round under the sun.The position is responsible for the operational needs of the Radiography service line for the Health System. Duties include:Developing and managing technical QA programs.Providing training for staff.Managing protocols and policies.Recruiting and interviewing new staff.Providing new employee orientation.Conducting staff performance evaluations.Ordering supplies.Acting as liaison for Diagnostic radiology customers.Effectively communicating to resolve problems.Enforcing policies and standards of practice.Coaching and disciplining as required.Working with department and hospital leadership to meet regulatory standards and successful accreditations.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Eleven (11) years of related experience, education/training; OR a Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area plus seven(+7) or more years of relevant experience/training.BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.Experience and proven clinical practice knowledge with applied background in a radiology modality.Knowledge of terms, concepts, and protocols.Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge in an acute care setting to improve operations.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's Degree.Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).Three (3) years of supervisory experience.SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Annual Full Pay Range: $116,000 - $224,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).Hourly Equivalent: $55.56 - $107.38.Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
