Under the direction of the Manager, Market Economics, the Senior Analyst will support company initiatives and strategy across each of its U.S. pharmaceutical distribution businesses. The primary focus of the analyst will be on modeling financial impacts stemming from policy and macroeconomic changes affecting the industry and the corporation. These insights will directly help Cencora's leaders to make critical strategic decisions. Success in this role will require the ability to think creatively in a cross-functional environment comprised of stakeholders from Cencora's commercial, strategy, finance, global sourcing, and public policy teams.

This is a hybrid role with in-office expectations.Develop and build complex scenario models to quantify Cencora's risk or opportunity from proposed regulation or legislation, new contracting strategies, or material changes in channel economics

Build and present compelling narratives through slides, articulating the context and results of the analysis while providing actionable recommendations for senior leaders

Lead and support various initiative working groups comprised of individuals from across the enterprise including commercial, finance, global sourcing, public policy, etc.

Support the activities of the team in gathering and processing data as assigned by various projects

Review, summarize and organize available research on current trends in areas such as drug pricing, rebating, fair value capture, and reimbursement, maintaining careful watch on the actions and words of other channel participants and policymakers

Generate ad hoc analysis as needed

Perform related duties as assigned

What your background should look like

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, economics, accounting, or another business-related field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in relevant functions. Strong interest in analytics, pricing strategy, forecast modeling, economics, and data is required.Natural passion towards quantitative and analytical methods

Advanced skills in SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Familiarity with Python and Power BI a plus

Strong executive presence and presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to multi-task, establish priorities and work independently under pressure with limited supervision

Ability to perform fact-based analytical techniques

High level of creativity; ability to work independently and with teams

Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries

Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
