Reporting directly to the Director of Professional Services Procurement, this position is responsible for providing senior leadership and support to a team of resources in Procurement and Support Services (PSS) supporting various stakeholders across the organization. Primary responsibility includes leading a team of 7 category leads that support Procurement related activities (Stakeholder Management, Vendor Management, Category Management and Plan, Sourcing (RFP/RFI), Contracting) for Management Consulting and some Corporate Functions (HR, Finance, Audit, Legal, Travel, Research). In addition, this position is also responsible for indirect procurement operational activities like spend analytics, building and implementing category processes, leading and developing the team.
Senior Stakeholder Management:
Shared accountability for business results by identifying and implementing strategies and solutions that improve business performance.
Becomes a key partner and SME for the senior leadership team and other senior stakeholders ensuring their requirements are being met by their indirect category managers.
Identify implications of business actions on third parties; offer guidance and flexible solutions; solve complex problems, while working within required timelines.
Act as a customer advocate effectively coordinating resources and functions to achieve deliverables and desired outcome; seek voice of the customer feedback as a driver of continuous improvement and provides customer intelligence to PSS.
Support the continuing development of new services offerings in PSS to meet the changing needs of the assigned customer organization.
Educate business owners / stakeholders on Procurement processes and value and maintain a partnership.
Team Management:
Lead a team of resources that is responsible for the sourcing and contracting activity for the specific internal organization.
Focus on the development of resources, ensuring skills and their personal business goals align to the goals and outcomes of PSS.
Is a mentor and a coach to the team providing guidance and support needed for the success of the team and to provide value to business partners.
Is a trusted advisor.
Category Strategy and Management:
Responsible for Professional Services team’s focus on category management (developing category strategies and execution of sourcing events).
Develop sourcing strategies and provide leadership in the selection of a supplier and the negotiation of business terms.
Support the development of new contract language and the improvement of the sourcing and contracting process.
Guides on category spend analysis and supplier segmentation.
Responsible for the indirect procurement policies and processes inclusive of requirements related to risk, compliance, legal, privacy, and IS.
Responsible for reporting value realization by the team.
Supports and leads RFx processes and category management, if needed.
Support efforts for savings and negotiations.
Vendor Management:
Create preferred supply base as it relates to capabilities and needs.
Develop strategic vendor relationships.
Ensure Procurement processes are being followed.
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant strategic sourcing or contracting experience for professional services in a highly complex environment OR 8 years of relevant strategic sourcing or contracting experience in a highly complex environment.
Experience in client relationship development and management.
Experience in presentation, excel, project management and leadership skills.
Experience in negotiating, advanced skills to structure beneficial contracts, and ability to evolve contracts to best-in-class and minimize risk to HCSC.
Experience with supply chain integration.
Experience influencing cross functional teams and business decisions at an Enterprise level.
Critical thinking skills with high learning agility and the capability to outline a direction and drive towards the outcomes.
Possess strong financial skills and business acumen.
Partners with business leaders and participates with senior management in the development of project specific strategies and deliver solutions which address business challenges and which positively impact business goals.
Possess knowledge of the customer's needs and translate that into knowledge regarding the particular supply chain and/or sourcing opportunities that may exist.
Skilled at project management and capable to lead multiple projects any given time with proper prioritization and time management.

9 years of relevant strategic sourcing or contracting experience in a highly complex environment.
Oversees the development of sourcing strategies, industry and supplier research, bidding, total cost of ownership analysis, supplier selection and the negotiation of business terms to maximize the total value to HCSC.
Partners, coordinates and integrates with PSS resources, Legal, Tax, Risk Management, Information Security, Finance and other organizations to provide seamless service.
Skilled at project management and capable to lead multiple projects any given time with proper prioritization and time management.
Supervisory skills, including performance management, employee development, hiring/selection, and motivation.
PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to lead a team in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data.
Responsible for leveraging various system generated reports including active and expiring contracts, cycle time, workload, spend analysis and numerous others used in PSS. Responsible for the usability of the systems in PSS and by PSS customers.
Responsible for establishing and ensuring standard processes exist and are followed in the sourcing and contracting process across all teams in PSS.
Supports mergers and acquisitions by actively participating in the development of integration strategies and implementing any new business processes and workflows.
Maintains effective communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
Identifies barriers to potential solutions and develops and implements action plans to overcome obstacles.
Ability to keep up with market trends and bring new Sourcing and Contracting ideas and information to the Customer's senior leaders.
Participates in and supports leadership activities including strategic and operational planning sessions, staff meetings, monthly/quarterly business meetings etc.
