A law firm in Fresno, CA, is seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney to join their team. Reporting to the Sr. Associate Attorney, the successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants. This role involves representing clients in immigration matters, preparing legal documents, and developing strategic solutions for various immigration issues.Duties:Explain complex immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients.Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.Manage a caseload, including all aspects of client interaction and case progression.Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.Prepare and file a wide range of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.Review and adjust immigration applications and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.Present and collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations regarding changes in immigration law.Meet with potential clients to provide strategic immigration consultations and determine the best legal strategies.Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances or USCIS testimony.Provide legal analysis to assess potential benefits and risks associated with each case.Draft and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.Act as a team player, supporting and collaborating with fellow associates to achieve the firm's objectives.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.1-4 years of experience in immigration law, including experience gained through internships or previous positions.Active Bar admission (law graduates awaiting admission may be considered).Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage a caseload effectively.Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian relief, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active Bar admission in California or pending.Skills:In-depth understanding of immigration law and procedures.Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Strong client service and communication abilities.Ability to work effectively within a team environment.Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic legal environment.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Competitive compensation package, including a 401(k) plan.Perks including catered lunches, complimentary parking, paid time off, and more.Company infoDescriptionHumana is a $90 billion (Fortune 40) market leader in integrated healthcare with a clearly defined purpose to help people achieve lifelong well-being.
