We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join us in testing solutions for Insurance/Reinsurance risk modeling. You will be responsible for testing the software in an AWS environment. We are looking for a strong technical candidate with significant hands-on experience and skills who can collaborate with like-minded individuals in a fast-paced goal-oriented environment.Responsibilities
Analyze feature requirements and design specifications to create test plans and test cases, execute and validate the test results; ensure the product meets all feature requirements.Review epic overviews to create detailed test strategy documents.Create, debug and fix automated unit, integration and end to end tests.Create a robust daily, smoke, acceptance and regression test repository.Discover, debug, document and verify software anomalies.Evaluate test results and track feature status using internal tools/processes.Escalate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner.Address queries from Product Owners, Scrum Team Members and the Client Servicing team with regards to our software products in a timely manner.Identify capacity bottlenecks, suggest & implement solutions for process improvement.Responsible for software risk identification, escalation & mitigation.Provide QA metrics as required.Be the scrum team point of contact from a quality assurance perspective.Contribute to the training of new hires.Work collaboratively with a global team.QualificationsEssentialMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Data Science.Minimum of 5 - 8 Years’ experience working on AWS SaaS cloud based projects on an Agile software development team.Full-stack development experience using TDD with strong debugging and performance tuning acumen.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with C#, C++, Java, Python or other object-oriented programming language.Strong knowledge and hands-on-experience of data management tools including but not limited to SQL/R and Python.Efficiency in solving challenging problems with personal accountability for meeting organization goals.Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience working with global teams.DesirableMaster’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Data Science.AWS Certifications.Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance.Experience working with large datasets.Additional InformationFor over 50 years, Verisk has been the leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry by delivering value to our clients through expertise and scale.
