It brings together new advancements in artificial intelligence, human-robot interactions, computer vision, sensor technology, voice and edge computing in a package that’s designed to be helpful and endearing.As a Principal Product Manager in Amazon's Consumer Robotics group, you will help create and drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap, with a high degree of ownership over critical features and the customer experience. This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, user research, finance, and executive teams to envision, develop, and launch innovative products.A successful candidate will be both creative and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that customers love. Make history.Key job responsibilitiesManage the entire product life cycle from inception to launchDrive the development of the strategy, roadmap, and business plan for your product areasBe a passionate advocate for the customer; understand and articulate customer needs, conduct ongoing customer research, leverage internal knowledge and expertise, and prioritize market requirementsInspire the team with the product vision, and work cross-functionally to bring that vision to lifeWrite requirements documents, define use cases and CX, and own the business metrics and KPIs for your products and servicesDrive product launches, including working with public relations, marketing, executives, and other product management team membersServe as the product expert, assisting marketing with press briefing, industry talks, and white papersBasic Qualifications10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experienceBachelor's degreeExperience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a productExperience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definitionExperience with end to end product deliveryExperience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a productPreferred QualificationsMBA and/or post-graduate engineering/science degreeExperience developing and launching V1 consumer products and services; comfort with ambiguity and nascent marketsFamiliarity or experience with robotics, autonomous systems, computer vision, computer learning, IoT products and/or Alexa productsExperience using rapid prototyping and other creative mechanisms to gather direct customer feedback throughout the product development processPassion to dive deep into highly technical topics with engineers and scientists with a customer-centric mindsetExceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to influence othersProven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business casesAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
