Director, Business Strategy
is part of the broader Strategy department and plays a critical role in shaping the direction and growth of the company. This team leads and consolidates the annual strategy review, coordinates the implementation of strategic initiatives in collaboration with the business, and leads special initiatives on behalf of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Moreover, the team assesses the impacts and opportunities from cutting-edge innovations, in close collaboration with the relevant business units.Responsibilities:Lead the Strategy Review process, ensuring solid analyses and actionable recommendations on business models, market prioritization, pipeline gaps, growth modes, capabilities & competitive positioning, business case, etc.Define, prioritize, and kick-off strategic initiatives in collaboration with the relevant business leads.Lead complex strategic initiatives and special projects on behalf of the ELT, including culture activation efforts, scouting of corporate acquisition/JV targets in alignment with the strategy, re-org / post-merger integration, etc.Track organizational KPIs, and prepare comprehensive performance reports for top management.Lead the assessment and integration of cutting-edge innovations and emerging trends into the company's strategic framework.Build and nurture strategic partnerships with venture capital firms, research institutions, and industry experts to support business growth and innovation.Mentor and develop more junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture within the Business Strategy team.Qualifications:Master's or advanced degree in STEM, business, or other relevant fields, preferred.Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in the power industry, across strategy, management consulting or relevant business roles.Deep expertise in corporate strategy, clean energy, and utility industry, US power markets/transmission grid, renewable project development/commercialization, and clean energy technologies.Superior problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop strategic, actionable solutions.Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to present to and influence executive leadership and top management.Advanced organizational and project management skills, with experience leading large-scale, complex initiatives.Commitment to quality and excellence, balancing strategic vision with pragmatic execution.Innovative and solution-oriented, consistently challenging the status quo and driving new ideas and initiatives.Demonstrated leadership capabilities, fostering a high-performance culture and mentoring junior team members while being adaptable, self-reflective, and open to feedback.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Benefits offered:
