Birdy Grey is looking for a
Senior Software Engineer
to support the technical design, development, and execution within our growing engineering team. This position primarily focuses on execution, with strategic work as needed to support the iterative nature of our greenfield projects. You will work within a small team and will be expected to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional team members to meet company goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will be expected to identify and execute tasks in the software development life cycle, review and debug code, collaborate with internal teams, and ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies. This person may also provide technical guidance, mentorship, and project management expertise to deliver successful software projects.
Scope Of ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, execute code, and deliver final products seamlessly within our required platforms.Oversee the design and development of custom solutions and integrations, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure.Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.Ensure compliance with industry best practices and standards in all aspects of software engineering, ADA Compliance and e-commerce development.Develop and maintain brand design systems to implement new features to pixel-perfect specifications.Develop frontend solutions tailored to meet both business needs and consumer requirements, ensuring seamless integration and support for internal teams.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Experience / Requirements5+ years of software engineering experienceExtensive experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL, and at least one backend language, coupled with a strong understanding of Microservices architecture and API design/integration.Expert in HTML, CSS, JavaScriptExperience with Remix, Gatsby, Next.js, React or similar framework(s)Experience with ADA Compliance audits and requisite implementation of remediation(s)Experience working within design systems and component librariesExperience in architecting and deploying headless content management systems for enterprise-level organizations within ecommerce.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent ability to work with cross-functional teams to plan, scope and execute work with multiple stakeholdersOrganized, analytical and a keen eye for detailGreat problem-solving skills and work well in a teamExperience and/or interest in e-commerce and DTC

New York Candidates only*: Minimum full-time salary range is generally between $100,000 - $145,000 + bonus + benefits. We continually review ranges to address skills, experience and markets. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a number of factors that include, but aren’t limited to a candidate’s experience and skills relative to the scope and responsibilities of the position. *Note: Disclosure as required by NY Law (11-1-22) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired as an employee in New York.
