A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a skilled and experienced Patent and Trademark Attorney with a large portable book of business. Preferably, candidates with a group of attorneys are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have years of relevant experience.Duties:Conducting patent and trademark searchesDrafting and prosecuting patent and trademark applicationsAdvising clients on patent and trademark infringement mattersHandling patent and trademark litigationProviding legal counsel on intellectual property mattersManaging client relationships and portfoliosCollaborating with other attorneys and staff on intellectual property casesRequirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocityYears of experience in patent and trademark lawA portable book of business is preferredGroup of attorneys with portable business highly desirableStrong understanding of patent and trademark laws and regulationsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectivelyEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocitySkills:Patent and trademark prosecution experienceLegal research proficiencyPatent and trademark litigation experienceStrong negotiation and communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaborativelyTime management and organizational skills
