Responsibilities
Support business objectives and mitigate regulatory, compliance and litigation risks to Trina Solar. Leads complex legal assignments with a high level of business impact and delivers appropriate solutions.Work with outside counsel on formulating litigation strategies for various other types of litigation and arbitration;Assist in trial preparation and preparing company witnesses for depositions and other testimony;Attend trials and provide trial reports to relevant business units, Global Legal Department management, and colleagues;Provide legal advice to appropriate representatives of Trina Solar and its affiliates;Analyze legal problems and interpret laws and regulations;Analyze legal matters and/or litigation resolution in creative ways;Serve as a resource for the organisation on complex issues;Collaborating with other areas across the Global Legal Department to manage legal risk.
Requirements
Master of Law (LL.M) or Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited US law school;Minimum 5 years of litigation experience;US bar is a plus.Advanced knowledge of legal principles and practices related to litigation;Experience with international arbitration and transnational litigation;Proactive mindset, anticipates and responds effectively to internal client’s needs;Commitment to providing quality legal advice, learning agility (included willingness to develop expertise in new subject matters), and a history of enthusiastic participation in a team environment;Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in Germany. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for Germany work opportunity
Language:Fluent English is a must. Spanish or French would be a plus
