About The Team

The Developer productivity and experience (DPX) team at Salesforce is rapidly innovating in the CI space and supports a world class CI platform to transform our developer productivity and experience from Code to Cloud for 9K+ developers across Salesforce. About The Role

This Role provides the opportunity to work with a highly energized technical team to deliver a CI platform that services developers at scale. You will be working on a CI platform that is built for scale and will be building and testing 1000s of micro services and completing millions of tests across multiple branches with 75K+ daily builds.

In this role, you would have a chance to transform and influence 100’s of scrum teams towards a more agile system using the latest in SCM and CI technologies. Your customers are the top notch engineers, architects and technical leaders at Salesforce who help create the most innovative Mobile, Social, Cloud based Customer Success Platform and Applications in the industry.

You would be leading key initiatives designing, building and implementing capabilities to support the growth of this platform, drive security integrations and tools, scale the platform and architecture ensuring high availability with the ability to support multiple cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

Design and implement a secure Microservices' model at scale, and integrate with critical subsystems.Performance analytics and scale the platform to 75k+ CI pipelines with a yearly 15% platform growth.Automation of release management activitiesImplement standard methodologies for left shift capabilities, secure artifact management and support for continous delivery modelsServices and workflow management for integration testing.Work closely with Developers, Architects and Operations to rollout and deploy pipeline components

Leading large scale programs and initiatives with distributed teams across locationsVery passionate in engineering and developing platforms and frameworks.Data-driven approach to problem-solvingExperience in implementing solutions using Docker solutions for Microservices model.Have work with OpenStack, Cloud solutions and have strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, Docker, Service discovery, Resource scheduling and have done successful implementations at scale.Management around pipelines, static analysis, code coverage and security.Experience working in an environment building tools to migrate teams and consolidate large platforms and tooling

Qualifications

14+ years of professional hands on development experienceStrong experience with Java, Golang, Node.js and/or C++ in a Linux/UNIX data center environmentExperience with Git, Perforce, Jenkins, Spinnaker and other build and deploy related technologies.Strong understanding of code dependency management, test case analysisGood understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Tekton and similar technologiesExperience with logging, monitoring, alerting and analytics.Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a critically important serviceExperience with Agile development methodology and Test-Driven DevelopmentExperience using metrics to drive operational excellenceExperience with Systems developmentStrong analytical skills, understanding of analytics to drive tests based on workflowsAbility to analyze sophisticated systems and failure modes and build technical strategies for improvements based on those findings.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $188,200 to $258,700.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
