Senior Automation & Test Engineer,

you will lead and implement solutions that enable the operation and characterization of our advanced electrolyzers from development test stands to large production-scale systems. You will have ownership of test, control and power systems that run and operate the electrolysis systems. This role will work with design engineering to develop scalable, cost-optimized solutions for scalable green hydrogen, from prototype to scale.Responsibilities

Develop architectures and designs for scalable process control and testingDesign and build novel equipment and systems to support R&D operation and testing of electrochemical systemsDraw and maintain P&ID's and process diagrams for systemsSpecify requirements, and select and source suppliers/partners for components and systemsDeploy prototypes to the lab and products to the fieldBasic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline5+ years of experience in design and commission of automation and controls systems for industrial applicationsPreferred Skills and Experience

Experience with high pressure and gas and fluid control systems and ASTM ASME standards, ideally hydrogen, oxygen, DI/ultrapure waterExperience with high voltage and high current power systemsExperience in fast-paced iterative design and prototyping environmentsP&ID and electrical schematic experiencePLC programming experienceHMI and SCADA programming experienceField bus networks, serial communication, and Ethernet communicationHands-on experience building and commissioning high quality electrical control racks/panels and electro-mechanical systemsKnowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, UL508A codesProfessional Qualities

Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, enthusiasm for complex problem solving, and desire to optimize systems holisticallyStrong project management skills and effective communication of technical concepts across multi-disciplinary teamsFirst principles based decision makingPassionate about decarbonization and addressing climate change
