Machine Learning Engineer - Apple MT service

The AI/ML - Machine Translation team is looking for a machine learning engineer passionate about delighting customers' experiences and pushing the envelope on AIML technologies, data quality, and system efficiency.DescriptionYou will be a part of a team responsible for a wide variety of language technologies related research and development activities. Your focus will be on developing ML solutions and automation pipelines to generate high-quality domain and locale-specific data for Apple Intelligence language expansion. You should be passionate about creating phenomenal products that are used by millions of people. You’re expected to be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.Minimum QualificationsIn-depth ML/DL knowledge and experience in LLM, MT, NLP, model QE, etc.Familiarity with relevant toolkits such as PyTorch, JAX, etc.Strong software engineering skills with expert-level proficiency in one of the programming languages: Python, C/C++, shell scripting, Java, etc.Solid hands-on experience in cloud computing and large distributed systems.Experience in data curation and ML system efficiency is a big plus.M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or related field.Preferred QualificationsExperience with data curation.Experience with data management.Experience with ML system efficiency.Experience with large distributed systems.Familiarity with relevant toolkits such as PyTorch, JAX, etc.Fast learner and strong motivation on growing and learning new technologies.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees have the opportunity to become Apple shareholders through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
