5+ years of experience in cost estimating with a construction focusDegree in a construction related disciplineProvide design stage cost planning, cost estimating and value engineeringCapable of Architectural and Structural quantity takeoffAbility to build Cost Reports/Estimates for review by othersA basic understanding of MEP systems and estimatingStrong computer skillset with ExcelEstimating experience with vertical construction / buildingsUnderstanding of basic construction estimating metricsWorked on both large and small commercial projectsExperience with basic change order requests and processesUnderstanding of local and national market pricingFamiliarity with quantity takeoff software (Cost-X and Bluebeam preferred)Experience with Microsoft PowerBi a bonusWhat you’ll be doing (and why you’ll love it)
Be a part of client meetings and reconciliation with contractorsAdvise clients on cost drivers, cost reductions, benchmarks, and current market conditionsEager and looking to grow into a Project Controls roleStart working with schedules and the risk management processHave limited experience with BIM/ Revit for quantity takeoffsDevelop market research, implement company training initiativesWork with and set up projects with the accounting teamSupport the proposals process and reply to RFP’sAttend network events and start honing Business Development skillsChase projects, present to clients and build public speaking skillsWhy work with us?
