Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)Description:MIT seeks an Interfaith Chaplain and Program Director to foster interfaith understanding, spiritual well-being, and ethical growth for the MIT community through the leadership of two key programs: the Addir Interfaith Dialogue Fellows and the Radius program in ethics.Responsibilities include administering the Addir and Radius programs to ensure smooth operations, facilitating the growth and development of student participants in the Addir Fellows, coaching student leaders, and designing and implementing lectures, workshops, and discussion groups about important ethical issues, particularly related to scientific and technological developments. This position reports directly to the chaplain to the Institute/associate dean.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (master’s preferred) in a related fieldThree years of experience, preferably in higher educationExcellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple simultaneous projectsUnderstanding of and experience with young adult developmentUnderstanding of diverse religious traditions and successful strategies for interfaith engagementExperience in program developmentUnderstanding of ethical issuesExperience with effective strategies for advocacyMIT is an equal-opportunity employer.
