Sr. Software Developer with Security Clearance

MarathonTS is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. We are looking for a skilled Sr. Software Developer to assist with the development of our current projects. Your duties will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new requirements, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle which include gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements, responding to outages, and creating application system models. Participate in design meetings and consult with internal teams to refine, test, and debug programs to meet business needs and interact and sometimes direct third-party partners in the achievement of business and technology initiatives.Responsibilities:
Develop innovative user-interface designs in response to deliverable requirements, user analyses, product innovation, technology, and business needs.Develop conceptual models, prototypes, and user-interface specifications.Modify software to fix errors, adapt to new requirements, improve performance, and upgrade interfaces.Test, maintain, and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.Design and update software databases, including but not limited to: Software Applications, Web Sites, Data Communication Processes, and User Interfaces.Independently install, customize, and integrate commercial software packages.Work with cross-functional team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code, and perform unit testing based on requirements and deliverables.Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and reports as requested.Required Skills:
Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.Proven work experience as a Software Developer or Software Engineer.Experience designing interactive applications.Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies. Experience with financial database development and integration with ServiceNow is a plus.Proficiency in software engineering tools.Ability to document requirements and specifications.Ability to learn new languages quickly.Good communication skills.Ability to work as part of a team or individually on a project.Ability to work well under pressure.Experience developing ServiceNow or with low-code development platforms.CLEARANCE:
U.S. Citizenship required. Must pass background investigation to obtain Public Trust.EDUCATION:
