Responsible for proctoring and administering standardized computer tests to groups and individuals. Maintain a quiet atmosphere for testing and follow standard testing protocol as noted by said agency, faculty or staff requiring the test.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform essential duties to expected performance standards. Reasonable accommodations are made as required for persons who are disabled under the Americans With Disabilities Act.Proctors and administers standardized tests to groups and individuals.Maintain a quiet, secure atmosphere for testing.Maintain confidentiality and security of all test materials, test logs, and other test documents.Be vigilant and pay close attention to cheating and prevention of cheating.Able to administer Testing Center rules.Prepare documentation of cheating or dishonesty to assist in the disciplinary process.Return testing materials to appropriate instructors or agencies as required.Work with faculty to have information/materials to proctor exams in a timely manner.Work with students who have need of special accommodations, including, but not limited to reading tests, scribing tests, or providing a special testing climate.May assist with the design and distribution of flyers, handouts, and door signs regarding Testing Center’s hours and rules.May require some evening and Saturday hours to accommodate testing students.Work assigned schedule, exhibiting regular and punctual attendance.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other related duties as required.EQUIPMENT OPERATED

Computer; printer; scanner; copier; fax machine; telephone; and other standard office equipment.CONFIDENTIAL DATA

Student and other information covered by FERPA guidelines and agreed to in the College’s FERPA Confidentiality Agreement; and all other non-public and sensitive records.WORKING CONDITIONS

Good classroom working conditions. The work requires the use of safe work practices with office and classroom equipment.USUAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision, with the ability to adjust focus when typing or reading a computer screen. Knowledge of : standard office practices and procedures; placement, assessment, and standardized testing tools; and English grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and punctuation.Ability to : maintain confidential and sensitive information; exhibit a pleasant public manner; work independently; exhibit attention to detail; maintain an organized working environment; apply ethical standards to work situations; make work decisions in accordance with SSCC’s values; show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences, and promote a harassment-free environment; embrace and support constructive change; work efficiently and effectively to improve college operations; consistently follow safety and security procedures and practices; develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, learning community, associates, and the general public; contribute toward building a positive team working environment; treat others with respect as a representative of SSCC.Skill in : data entry; typing; application of Microsoft Office software including Word and Outlook; and other job-related software; Internet Explorer; operation of standard office equipment; office organization; verbal and written communications.QUALIFICATIONS

An appropriate combination of education, training, course work, and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is: Bachelor’s degree with prior computer skills and experience.Applicant must successfully pass required background checks in accordance with Southern State Community College’s policies and procedures and applicable laws.Ability to document identity and employment eligibility as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
