This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the applications engineering team that supports the industry-leading solutions for Verification, Implementation, and Signoff.The Director of Application Engineering's charter is to enable customer success while driving business growth of Synopsys in the domain of library characterization.Responsibilities:Lead a team of Application Engineers to provide a differentiated technical solution to customers which can help them to drive innovation in their domain.Deliver solution presentations and product demonstrations. Identify technical opportunities, develop people, and grow technical expertise and experience in the team in line with growth of technology and solutions offered by Synopsys.Collaborate with Global AE to engage with common customers across geographies to drive efficient support.Work with marketing and product managers to define new products and may provide insight from customers back to these groups. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.Requirements:Minimum of 10 years' experience.Possesses a solid background in standard cell characterization.Experienced with timing (NLDM, CCST, CCSN), power (NLPM, CCSP), noise (CCSN), LVF, AOCV/POCV methodologies.Ability to resolve issues in creative ways to create usable workarounds and alternative solutions.Collaborates across various related tools to provide a complete solution to customers.Possesses excellent communication and inter-personal skills.At Synopsys, we're at the heart of the innovations that change the way we work and play. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
