Head of FXConnect – Senior Vice President, Onsite

Who We Are Looking ForThe Head of FXConnect holds responsibility for revenue growth, governance & oversight of FX Connect product and its employees. FX Connect was the first multi-bank platform to market and it has become an essential trading and workflow solution that is currently used around the world by more than 500 Asset Managers and Hedge Funds.As a senior leader of this offering, the successful incumbent will report to the Head of FX and TCA Platforms, helping to drive the overall strategy of GlobalLink for end-to-end FX offerings across trading, matching, settlement and analytics.The successful candidate must possess advanced leadership, management skills such as:Comprehensive knowledge of the institutional foreign exchange (FX) marketsDeep understanding of trading technology systems and infrastructureCreative, outcome-driven influencer with the ability to lead a global team of product and account management leads in line with business strategy and financial objectivesDemonstrated track record of developing innovative, technology led client solutions in financial marketsAbility to continuously educate assigned team on product differentiators, product development efforts and relevant industry trends, leading to engaging and informative interactions with clients and prospectsActive presence at industry conferences and State Street led symposiums with a focus on promoting thought leadershipExperience developing and executing on a strategic business plan; Imperative that candidate can articulate and differentiate GlobalLink’s value proposition amidst a fiercely competitive industry.Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.Why this role is important to usGlobalLink is State Street’s global suite of market leading electronic trading platforms providing solutions for market participants designed to increase transparency, improve trading efficiency and deliver quantifiable execution. As our investment research and trading arm, SSGM’s number one goal is to enhance and preserve our clients’ portfolio values by applying technology, optimizing trading, and linking asset classes and markets across the world.Join us if making your mark in the capital markets industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.What You Will Be Responsible ForAs the Head of FXConnect, you will be responsible for:Develop and monitor the business plan and budgets in line with corporate goalsEnsure that the business has the right resourcesEnsure that the businesses operate in compliance with internal and external regulations and that escalation procedures are followedConduct periodic business reviews ensuring associated risks are identified and managed and appropriate remedial action is taken where appropriateIdentify new business opportunities driven out of market, client and regulatory demand and develop and implement business plans in line with corporate goalsManage staff across productsWork collaboratively with GlobalLink centralized functions, including sales, operations, business risk management and COO to ensure that business growth objectives are met and the team has the proper controls and procedures in placeWork across the GlobalLink, Global Markets and State Street to ensure that GlobalLink is maximizing opportunities to provide our solutions to prospective clientsCreate and monitor annual performance priorities and quantifiable metrics to continually assess performanceCultivate and strengthen talent by ensuring appropriate training to assist them meet their core job expectations. Strengthen our talent through increased diversity, mobility and promotion of employee engagementActive contributions to the decision making process within the Global Markets management team.What We ValueThese skills will help you succeed in this role:Proven management success within a regulated multi-national organizationProven ability to build client relationships with key decision makers for our solutions including Heads of Businesses, Chief Operating Officers, Traders, Operational staff, Banks, Asset Managers and multi-national corporationsAbility to communicate feedback from clients and prospects back into the overall organization to improve delivery of solutions and improve the overall client experienceEducation & Preferred QualificationsUndergraduate degree required with preference for advanced degree (MBA, CFA, etc.)Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior a management capacityExtensive experience in FX markets (15+ years preferred)Proven track record of developing/delivering innovative electronic solutions to marketExemplary communication skills are essential – excellent speaking and writing skillsAbility to build trust and relationships with clients, peers, staff and support partnersAdditional RequirementsThe preferred location for this role is in Boston or London.
