Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated EDI engineer with a passion for data to lead and manage our external EDI integrations platform. As part of the Data & Software Engineering (DSE) Team, you will manage, build and support external integrations that connect our enterprise applications & processes to our global logistics and trade network.You will focus on helping Vertex scale real-time EDI & external integrations, with a focus on quality, resilience, and timely data delivery. You will support & enable a global network that fuels Vertex’s Order to Cash processes, provides real time insights into our Supply Chain, and enables critical processes that deliver Vertex’s products.Vertex Pharmaceuticals is in a transformational period where we are accelerating our capabilities, technologies, and data to augment our scientific mission, enable Vertex to grow in scale, and continue to be on the forefront of science, medicine, and technology. As part of this effort, it is critical to ensure that the underlying applications that support the business can reliably and securely exchange the information they need to operate.Key Responsibilities:Platform management - Manage, maintain, and improve the Vertex Integration Platform supporting enterprise EDI integration needs across Vertex.Technology expert – Architect integration patterns and capabilities for our network of 3rd Party Logistics and trading partners, with a focus on scalability, data quality, and resilience.Delivery management – Estimate, architect, and execute on delivery of critical integration solutions across the enterprise in partnership with the DSE leadership team.Operations Management – Manage a team of integration engineers to maintain compliant, timely, secure, and reliable integration jobs. Maintain design documentation, process design mappings and workflows.Innovation champion - Advocate for process enhancements and opportunities to improve our integration capabilities with a focus on efficiency.Qualifications:10 to 12 years of experience working with integration technologies, with demonstrated experience on Informatica including the B2B Gateway, Power Center, Cloud Data Integration, and Cloud Application Integration building, maintaining and debugging workflows, taskflows, and processes.Experience working with EDI integrations on Informatica stack (like the B2B Gateway) or another EDI integrator preferably with ERP systems like Oracle EBS.Strong experience, at least 6 years, working with EDI integration technologies focused on Trade & Distribution, preferably in the pharmaceutical domain.6+ years of experience working with 3rd Party Logistics partners and corresponding enterprise data sets that enable Supply Chain, Commercial and Accounting teams.Familiarity with the most common EDI standards like X12 and EDIFACT, an understanding of a good range of EDI transaction messages and ability to work with common formats including XML and cXML.Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and prioritize workload to team.Expertise with SQL and analysis skills, preferably on Snowflake, Oracle and SQL Server.Successful track record managing an integrated vendor team.Experience in delivery in agile environments (5+ years).Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects that require collaboration across functional areas.Skillful, collaborative team player able to develop rapport and credibility with stakeholders.Demonstrated ability and willingness to teach, engage and support others as they learn new technologies and concepts.Enthusiasm for and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and tackle difficult problems.Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.Working knowledge of key workflow tools, including JIRA and Confluence.Pay Range:$140,080 - $210,120Flex Designation:Remote-EligibleFlex Eligibility Status:In this Remote-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:1.

Remote : work remotely five days per week and come into the office on occasion – you’re always welcome on-site;2.

Hybrid : work remotely up to two days per week;3.
