National Sales Manager - Hestan Culinary

Job Summary:

The National Sales Manager for Hestan Culinary will oversee and drive sales for assigned accounts and customer channels. This role works in parallel with the Director of Sales to achieve revenue and profitability goals. Responsibilities include selling, developing, and implementing retailer-specific programs to boost revenue, maximize profitability, and position the Hestan brand for success. The National Sales Manager will focus on expanding existing business and acquiring new customers to drive year-over-year revenue growth.Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

Develop and execute strategic plans to meet sales revenue and gross margin targets.Customer Engagement:

Maintain regular communication with accounts via phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person visits to review business performance and discuss strategies, new products, marketing, and promotions.Revenue Growth:

Identify opportunities to grow revenue and achieve sales targets by key account.New Customer Acquisition:

Develop strategies to acquire new customers and drive incremental sales.Distribution Channels:

Identify and secure additional distribution channels.Product Innovation:

Collaborate with customers and the Hestan team to introduce and promote innovative products.Promotional Planning:

Work with the team to develop and implement a promotional calendar.Margin Management:

Ensure that margin targets are met across different categories and channels.Sales Presentations:

Communicate value propositions effectively through presentations and proposals.Sales Meetings:

Conduct meetings with sales representatives and manage independent sales rep organizations.Business Analysis:

Analyze sales data and competitive performance to identify opportunities and address challenges.Reporting:

Clearly communicate business objectives, reports, and analyses to retail customers and internal teams.Contract & Budget Management:

Review contract data, manage accruals, and handle promotional budgets.Training & Onboarding:

Execute product training and onboarding for new customers and salespeople.Account Planning:

Keep account plans updated and accurate, and review them regularly with the Director of Sales.Relationship Building:

Cultivate strong business relationships with buyers, support staff, and retailer management.Retail Store Visits:

Periodically visit local retail stores to ensure proper product display and understand the competitive landscape.Online Presence:

Regularly review retailer websites and product pages to ensure accurate representation of Hestan products.Social Media & Apps:

Stay informed about accounts' social media strategies and consumer engagement apps.Marketing Collaboration:

Work with the Hestan Marketing Manager to create presentations and merchandising support ideas.Core Values:

Utilize the NetSuite system for managing and reporting sales information.Event Attendance:

Manage business expenses responsibly and timely.Additional Duties:

Perform other related duties as assigned by sales management.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field or equivalent experience.At least 10 years of experience in retail and/or sales, preferably in the housewares industry.Experience selling to e-tailers and in the e-commerce channel is preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong listening, selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.Proven track record of driving the sales process from start to finish.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with employees and retail customers.Ability to articulate product features and differentiate from competitors.Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to business development.Knowledge of Hestan products and the ability to stay updated with market trends.Superior decision-making and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Office Suites (Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides), internet-based platforms, photo editing, and email.Proficiency/knowledge in NetSuite.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for meetings, account visits, and industry shows as needed.Working Conditions:

Primarily indoor work with artificial lighting.Equipment includes standard office tools (computer, laptop, fax machine, telephone, printer, copy machine) and marketing products.Exposure to various road and weather conditions during travel.Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, repetitive hand use, driving, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, fine dexterity, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend work.Regular travel required for customer visits and occasional industry events.Salary: $130k to $150k, DOE
