Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Windows Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments and extensive experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Windows-based systems in enterprise settings. This role requires a deep understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and security best practices. The Windows SME will play a critical role in advising and guiding our IT teams and clients on the best practices for Windows system operations, optimization, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary expert on all aspects of Microsoft Windows environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related technologies.

Design, implement, and maintain Windows-based systems and infrastructure in enterprise environments.

Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex issues related to Windows systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Develop and enforce best practices for Windows system administration, including security configurations, patch management, and system monitoring.

Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute Windows system upgrades, migrations, and other critical projects.

Conduct assessments of existing Windows environments, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.

Lead the development and implementation of Windows security policies, including the management of user permissions, access controls, and audit logs.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior IT staff and assist with training initiatives.

Stay updated on the latest developments in Windows technologies and security best practices to ensure the organization's systems are secure and up-to-date.

Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are highly preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Windows system administration, with a focus on enterprise environments.

Extensive experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows security features.

Proven experience in designing and implementing Windows-based infrastructure, including high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Strong background in scripting and automation using PowerShell or other relevant tools.

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.

Familiarity with cloud-based environments, particularly Microsoft Azure, is highly desirable.

Skills:

Expert knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and related infrastructure components.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
