Our ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal guidance and support on a wide range of commercial matters, including contracts, partnerships, and compliance. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with various departments to ensure that our business operations are legally sound and aligned with our strategic goals.What you’ll do:Review, negotiate, and draft a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, customer agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing agreementsProvide proactive legal advice to internal stakeholders on commercial matters, risk management, and compliance issuesEnsure that Athelas’s commercial practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy, intellectual property, and industry-specific regulationsAssist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable lawsCollaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and product development, to support business objectives and address legal challengesWhat you have:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolMust be admitted to practice law in California or have the ability to obtain admissionMinimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial counsel or in a similar legal role, preferably within the technology or healthcare industryStrong knowledge of contract law and commercial transactionsExcellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectivelyProven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalWhy you’ll love working at Athelas + Commure:Highly Driven Team:
