is looking for a talented and experienced
Director of Product Development
to lead with excellence in product strategy design and vision, continuously innovating by analyzing data, developing meaningful metrics, and communicating the "why" and "who" behind new SKUs. The Director of Design & Product Development is dedicated to delivering game-changing basics that cater to customers' everyday needs while ensuring product roadmap execution, efficient processes, and exceptional quality, all while fostering a culture of leadership and financial responsibility that drives success in the beauty industry
.Job responsibilities and Key Result Areas:Review historical data on a quarterly basis and gauge new development based on company vision and retailer needs.Gauge approximate sales threshold for new products.Ability to communicate a compelling product vision to the team with scheduled dates planned 10-months out - take into account enough lead time to impact change and sell-in in the marketplace.Responsible for product enhancements and product redesign.Be the main point of contact for the entire company for product launches.Meeting or exceeding established product development milestones.Track sustainability efforts.Demonstrated leadership in building and managing the product development team.Demonstrate ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively
.Budget management and cost control within the product development department.ABOUT YOUBachelor's degree in business, marketing, product design, or a related field.Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing product development teams. Experience in leading and developing talent at various levels.Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Strong understanding of market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape.Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve profitability targets within the product development department. Strong understanding of financial metrics and their impact on business performance.Proficiency in utilizing data analysis to inform product decisions and measure performance. Experience working with data analysts to generate actionable insights.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, customer service, etc.) and build strong relationships with stakeholders.Experience with photoshoot coordination and production is highly desirable.Proven ability to identify and address challenges, develop innovative solutions, and drive process improvements.Strong project management skills to ensure timely delivery of product launches and meet established milestones.
