Team Overview

Alternatives Client Platform ("ACP") supports the coordination and administration of the investor communication programmed to ensure a best in class client experience for BlackRock's Private Markets investors. This team is responsible for a wide range of activities, including production of client & fund reports, marketing collateral and presentations, maintaining platform data and analytics and the roll out of new technologies to create a scalable platform. We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual to support the team. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, responsible for managing multiple deliverables and tasks concurrently. Strategy and StandardizationCreate, drive and oversee strategic initiatives for Private Credit to address existing reporting process and data challenges, in order to streamline and build scale

Continuously challenge the status quo and critically assess opportunities for standardization across the Private Credit

Drive and execute projects set out by ACP Credit Head and ACP Leadership. Establish KPIs, track key achievements, assign resources and raise any potential issues to Leadership.

Actively look for new ways to further automate and enhance our processes.

Team managementResponsible for overseeing all Private Credit Strategies in the US

Build the bridge with ACP Leadership

Identify and develop the next level of talent for Private Credit team

Responsible for using expert judgment to apply tactical shifts on team's task allocation

Support the career growth of individuals within Private Credit, engage in development planning conversations in regular 1o1 sessions with everyone in the team.

Be the point person for issues related to BAU activities

Stakeholder managementBuild and maintain a strong relationship with key stakeholders, primarily but not limited to Product Strategy, CorePM, Portfolio Managers and Investment teams.

Be a trusted partner and advisor for all strategic conversations (e.g. potential new fund launches)

Controls and GovernanceEstablish and maintain a robust control framework that ensures all materials sent to the clients and key stakeholders are of an outstanding quality.

3rd party OutsourcingLead the outsourcing to 3rd party service provider for Private Credit.

Co-operationMaintain an ongoing dialogue with other asset class leads with an aim of

Sharing institutional knowledge and best practices

Connecting pods to broader ACP objectives and provide context as to where each pod is on its journey

Supporting people management challenges and creating a safe space for discussing talent

Participate in site level initiatives to create opportunities for ACP Private Credit to connect with other teams and also to support the site level objectives

Client reporting and Fundraising supportOversee all activities related to Client reporting and Fundraising support to ensure we align with all our commitments

Action and resolve all issues raised by ACP and Private Credit

Own the preparation, quality control and distribution of the Quarterly Investor Reports.

Be an expert on current mandates' client composition and structure in order to provide a best-in-class experience for existing investors

SkillsFluency in written and spoken English is essential

Education and experienceBA or MA in Finance or related area is preferred.

Minimum 6 years professional work experience in the financial services sector (investment bank, asset management, hedge fund, private credit/equity or placement agent)

Experience in Investor Relations, Product Strategy or Banking is strongly preferred

leadership experience with a track record of successful people management outcomes.

Ability to develop strong and trusting relationships with both internal and external clients swiftly and effectively

Team approach - able to coordinate between various groups within a firm

Very strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to understand and clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas, and processes

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple projects within agreed timelines

Strong analytical skills

Results driven individual with a high level of attention to detail

Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential
