About the Role
As a Senior Manager/Director of Mechanical Engineering, you will be responsible for running all of the engineering activities and projects within Anatomage. You will ensure the success of the engineering and technical projects within the organization, aligning everything with established policies and objectives.
What You’ll Do
Primarily responsible for the design and development of moderately complex projects for medical/education products, processes, and technologies, as well as redesigning existing products on time, within budget, and with required quality.
Participates in integrated product development teams; prepares design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentation and approval.
Develops project plans for development activities including designing tasks, resource requirements, design reviews, and qualification and verification plans.
Generates and/or reviews project-related documentation and analysis results to ensure their completeness and quality.
Evaluates suitability of current products for new applications; works with a team to develop bids and proposals for new, modified, or upgraded projects. Awareness of external trends relevant to projects.
Works within a team to develop predictive component and product performance models; develops plans to verify models for component and product characteristics. Able to perform analysis within their technical domain and can lead analysis-led design changes (performance, stress, thermal, fluid flow) using the analysis results.
Interfaces with customers as part of development programs; works closely with suppliers on component and product development.
Participates in ideation for new products and technologies; provides innovative ideas for improvements to existing products.
Applies advanced tools in problem solving and project management to solve technical issues.
Understands risks, design trade-off, tolerancing, and component interactions and incorporates design for manufacturing and cost. Incorporates machining/manufacturing capabilities into statistical design of mechanical systems to meet performance and cost.
Provides technical expertise to support manufacturing, field service engineers, and customers.
Provide excellent communication through technical writing, verbal communication, and presentations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5-7 years of engineering experience
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Mechanical, Systems, or medical equipment Engineering
10 years of engineering design and project experience
Experience in an engineering medical environment
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for engineering design
Ability to perform basic structural and/or performance analysis
