Starting with real estate, then branching into grantmaking, advocacy, and impact investing, we partner with communities to shape a world that is more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable.The Director of Information Technology will oversee TSO’s IT function, ensure technology aligns with business goals, and lead the development and implementation of IT strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of IT infrastructure.The Director will ensure optimal performance and alignment with TSO's IT strategy, provide and support systems that support all core internal IT systems such as Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, DUO, JAMF, and Tableau, and maintain machine images, group policies, and asset inventory, maintain current systems and firewalls, and ensure IT security by adopting best practices.ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibility 1: Strategic Planning and Infrasture Management20% of TimeDevelop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the TSO’s overall goals.Provide leadership and direction, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Oversee the IT budget, including forecasting, cost management, and investment planning.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud solutions.Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements and technology advancements.Lead the evaluation and selection of new IT tools and solutions.Work closely with the senior management team and stakeholders to prioritize quarterly initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals.Drive and communicate TSO’s technology strategy to management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders.Lead large IT projects, including designing and deploying new IT systems and services.Job Responsibility 2: Operational Oversight40% of TimeOversee all systems, including Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, DUO, JAMF, Microsoft Office, Tabluea, and other SaaS tools.Manage IT project deliverables, vendor management, contract negotiation, and budgets.Audit systems and evaluate them according to established goals.Provide oversight and direction to a leveraged IT function of external vendors and partners.Work closely with TSO’s IT’s MSP—managed Service Provider—to ensure timely and professional resolution of user issues.Oversee the MSP’s helpdesk tracking system, maintaining clear and concise documentation of user cases.Responsible for developing IT policies and systems to support productivity and the implementation of TSO strategies/goals.Work closely with business stakeholders on IT needs, provide technology solutions, and ensure smooth IT operations with vendors.Serve as TSO’s Super-Admin for all enterprise-wide systems.Oversee the management and maintenance of TSO website and employee intranet.Implement an efficient solution for IT asset management that preserves assets, information security, and control structures.Maintain IT software and licensing.Job Responsibility 3: Cybersecurity and Compliance20% of TimeEnsure and maintain the security of all systems and data proprietary to TSO and provide for the complete backup of all computer systems in case of system failure or disaster.Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to manage risk and ensure business continuity.Oversee a third-party cybersecurity assessment program to identify business risks.Oversee employee education and training to prevent staff errors leading to cyber fraud and security breaches.Coordinate strategic vendor partnerships that support all cybersecurity efforts and programs.Develop an Incident Management Program that includes key stakeholders and bi-annual desktop control exercises.Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.Ensure compliance with the changing laws and applicable regulations.Job Responsibility 4: IT Support15% of TimeProvide technical and AV support to TSO staff and family members.Provide IT-related support in the onboarding and offboarding of TSO staff.Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.Ensure hardware and software are correctly set up, configured, and managed, leveraging approved tools for configuration management and asset control.Responsible for monitoring, updating, escalating, and resolving IT issues as they arise, including managing and leveraging external IT helpdesk and consulting support.Provide regular training and support to users.Other Responsibilities as Assigned:5% of TimeQualificationsEducation / TrainingBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Experience/Technical Skills10+ years of experience working in IT Support, working with workstations, network-attached devices, and servers (Primarily Mac, Firewalls, Printers, AV, and video conferencing systems.) with at least 5 years in a leadership role.5+ years of experience supporting Windows OS, Ubuntu/CentOS, macOS, Apple iOS, and Android mobile devices, and with Microsoft Office 365 admin, Zoom, Teams, JAMF, DUO, & Microsoft Office or equivalent.5+ years building and leading a leveraged IT function that can tackle complex problems and perform broad technology implementations.Proven experience in strategic planning, budget management, and vendor negotiations.Experience managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.Knowledge of cyber security, cyber fraud prevention, and employee training/engagement with respect to cyber security.Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, phone systems, Macs, and JAMF.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.Significant critical thinking and decision-making skills.Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness and comfort with end-user support.Experience with Helpdesk or end-user support in a “white glove” environment is a plus.Willingness to learn and continually improve.Microsoft certification and A+ or related certifications are The pay range for this role is between $225,000 and $251,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus eligibility.Salary offers are determined based on various factors, including experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, internal equity, and specific business and organizational needs.
