The e-Commerce Analyst, Associate is responsible for gathering requirements, performing EDI mapping/process changes, and testing in support of Independent Health's current and future EDI transaction sets. The e-Commerce Analyst, Associate will be required to interface with customers at various levels in the organization. Ability to work as part of a team or to be self-directed as required. Good organizational and project management skills. Extensive knowledge of the ANSI X12 837 Health Care Claim and 835 Remittance HIPAA transactions is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with other HIPAA transactions is a plus. The individual will have experience with various communications software and hardware and excellent oral and written communication skills. The individual will possess knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle process.Qualifications

Associate's degree required; an additional two (2) years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on EDI may be considered in lieu of degree.Four (4) years of experience in EDI and/or e-Commerce required, preferably in the healthcare industry.Proficient with EDI transaction sets including ANSI X12 transaction sets.Programming experience with Java preferred. SQL experience a plus.Strong PC and Windows experience.Ability to lead projects using project management methodologies.Strong analytical skills required.Strong problem-solving skills required.Good understanding of HIPAA legislation.Working knowledge of Crystal Reports and/or other Query/Reporting packages.Proven examples of displaying the IH values: Passionate, Caring, Respectful, Trustworthy, Collaborative and Accountable.Essential Accountabilities

Development & Support:Use of project management methodologies, provides analysis and planning of new EDI business transactions. Responsible for modifying, testing, and supporting current EDI transaction sets including those mandated by HIPAA. Support development and testing regarding EDI transactions upon request. Become proficient with the Foresight software. Support duties include answering questions and providing training on the Foresight EDI Infrastructure.Customer Service:Responsible for answering phone calls and supporting the e-Commerce Call Center. Required to back-up the responsibilities of the e-Commerce Technicians when needed.Documentation:Responsible for the documentation of all maps, tables, and trading partner profiles. Create training and design documentation for new and existing eCommerce processes that is clear and concise. Must be able to follow Change Management processes and adhere to the necessary documentation and process requirements.Communication:Responsible for understanding the HIPAA legislation to ensure that Independent Health follows the EDI regulations according to HIPAA. Must possess ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to the e-Commerce team, internal departments, and Independent Health's trading partners.Maintenance:Maintain and review daily e-Commerce system reports and error messages through the Extol mailroom. Must be able to perform regular software upgrades and configuration tasks according to documented Change / Release Management methodologies.Immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Hiring Compensation Range: $32.50 - $42.50 hourlyCompensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off.
